We made it!! For those of you following along at home, we actually made our Newark to Hong Kong flight. We arrived in Newark at 2:55 and left at 3:00. They had closed the plane door but after LOTS of conversations, they opened the door and let us on. We already had a back-up reservation through San Francisco....but that would have added 12 hours to the trip. Of course we would do anything to get here and get Charlotte!
Today we tour Hong Kong with our travel guide Ben and tomorrow we head to the monastary.
We did find out from Ben that we will be united with Charlotte on Tuesday!!!

Welcome to Hong Kong! So neat to see the hotel all decorated for Christmas! And the room looks familiar too! Remember - go to the second level in the Hong Kong Airport and McDonald's breakfast coffee never tasted so good!! Dragon Candy on first level too! Say "howdy" to Ben! He's the best.
