Charlotte's First Word

Well Charlotte continues to amaze us with her development and ability to adapt. Not much seems to phase her. As I mentioned last time she had her first set of immunizations. She did spike a fever and then got a rash that lasted for 3 days...but it didn't seem to bother her at all. Last week I went into her room to get her from her nap and she had pulled herself straight up to her knees! Won't be long now 'til we're chasing after her.

Charlotte says 'mama' and 'dada' and 'baba' (daddy in mandarin) but she has not attached any of those to us yet. But she does say one word with intent.......CAT. That's right....her first english word is CAT (she may speak fluent mandarin and we just don't know it). She says 'cat' all on her own when either of the cats walks by; very cute!! But she does call other things cat too; maybe she's just practicing??? Charlotte is eating very well and still prefers 'real' food, chopped into tiny bits, to baby food. Well....enjoy the pictures!
