Hello from Charlotte

I know....it's been a long time since my last post. Charlotte has been changing so quickly; too quickly! She has hit the 20 lb. mark, so we have turned her car seat around and now she is riding forward like Mom and Dad. She has been attending a KinderMusic class (singing/dancing with Mom or Dad and other families) and really enjoys it. We took Charlotte to the beach again, and this time she stayed awake. She found the sand fascinating but was a bit tentative about venturing into the surf with me. Well it is just a matter of time before she is playing in the waves, because Charlotte seems to love the water. She enjoys her kiddy pool and for the first time went in an in-ground pool and giggled the whole time.

I guess the biggest news is that Charlotte started "walking". I use quotes because she walks assisted by her push toy/walker. She is quite proficient, and proud of herself, at navigating around the house and trying to run over the cats. Charlotte amazes us with what she understands.....which is most everything we say to her. After many attempts to get her to use the walker, including silly demonstrations, I asked her to "hold on with her hands, stand up and walk" and she did!!
